They are based in Wellingborough, Northampton and provide a range of Water Cooler services nationwide. Their website instantly reflects their professionalism and the scale of their business operations. The design is tuned to look very clean and timeless, the large animation on the homepage work s well to portray their products and fades from a dry desert with the quote “Hot & Thirsty? Don’t be…” to a lake and a montage of their products, that links that links to more information on their product ranges.
The internal pages carry a simpler layout, more focused on the content than imagery. Although each of these pages are fairly content heavy, the design ensures that it is broken down into manageable chunks for the reader.
The product page is split between their ranges with images of each set used as links, this then drills down into a single product page that lists the specifications relating to that product, similar to an ecommerce website just without the payment or cart option.
Overall the On Tap Water Cooler website has a very user friendly and fresh layout, that will age slower than the majority of water cooler website being produced because of it’s clean and simple design.

Furniture Shop UK is a bespoke ecommerce shop selling a range of different products from Oak Furniture to Retro Chairs. The designers have taken a large shop with possibly over 2000 products and have made it look smart and professional as well as easy to navigate.
The homepage features a large centerpiece image of a bedroom containing items that can be brought on the site along with their prices, this give the user an instant picture of the quality of the furniture available on the website and how much it would cost them to fill a room.
Further down the homepage there are two jQuery product sliders containing their new ranges and latest offers, this is a great idea and a fantastic way to display 10-15 products without flooding the page. Things like this help to add to the users experience and will leave a positive impression in their mind, this will lead to better conversions.
The only thing I would personally change about this website is the wooden background, there are plenty of wooden textures available on the web and the current one doesn’t scream high quality oak furniture, that aside I think that overall the colours and layout work great and the smaller details help make this website.

There are three variations of this design targeted at different localised areas, Wedding Dresses Stratford Upon Avon, Wedding Dresses Leamington Spa and Wedding Dresses Milton Keynes.
Each designs is very pure, fresh and primarily white to reflect a wedding dress with dashes of a light blue and small graphics in the top corner of each page to help add colour and life to the website.
One of the best features on each of these websites is the choice of imagery at the top of each page, not only are they very appealing and warming but they also help to reflect what the page is about and the quality of the wedding dresses made by the company. There is also a jQuery Thickbox gallery on the right hand side of each internal page allowing potential customers to see the dress details on a larger scale.
One criticism of these websites is the non-existent contact page, however this is compensated with the prominent quick and easy contact form at the top of each page.
Overall each of these websites work very well and it is clear that the smaller details help separate them from the majority of other outdated wedding dress websites. They all look very appealing, trustworthy and professional and considering that no bride is going to take choosing their wedding dress lightly, this is a very important obstacle that each of these sites have cleared.

A dark and stylish looking website created for hair extension specialists based in London.
This website is a dark but clean looking website that uses black, greys and vibrant pinks. All of the main headings are pink to reflect the companies logo and colours. Classy images of women are used on most pages to portray the quality of service that Weave Got Style offer, this also helps give the website more style and individuality. The gallery also shows their quality of work and has a very modern jQuery slide show, this allows potential customers to quickly browse their large selection of images.
The website also has a unique virtual hair salon that enables viewers to upload their own photos and place a variety of different hair styles on top of their image. This shows how they might look with Human Hair Extensions from Weave Got Style. Having this particular feature allows Weave Got Style to stand out from most hair extension websites.
All in all the website is very professional looking and shows the quality of work that the company offers, this has helped them to attract potential customers and gain business from the website.

An ecommerce shop built for a sign making business. Based in Herefordshire, UK.
This website is a neat design built into magento. The design itself uses mainly shades of grey and orange, this enables the design to tie in nicely with the company logo and colours. Aswell as holding a lot of content in the main body of the site, it also has a header which appears on every page. The header is image based with their company logo and an image of two vans, (showing what they do), this adds a nice visual side and eases viewers into the site.
The layout is a three column one, There are two side columns and a wide center column for the content. Down the left hand side the first thing you come across is the “useful information” navigation, this makes it very easy to find pages that viewers may find most helpful. The right side column houses the buy online section, add to cart and the search bar. The buy online section has a unique navigation that allows customers to choose their category and products with ease, providing excellent usability. Also there is a really handy design online feature. This enables customers to design their own banners, vinyl graphics, vehicle signs and Magnetic Signs online, either starting from scratch or using a template.
To conclude, the Sign Right Signs website has a nice clean design that holds a lot of content and some unique features. This makes the website stand out from the crowd, and vary from other sign maker websites.

A very clean design for a UK based ecology company specialising in Tree & Habitat Surveys.
This website has a very modern layout with a strong header section on each page containing a brief summary and an accompanying image. The branding from logo is carried throughout the website with an excellent use of the company’s main colours (green and blue) as well as making the logo the center piece image on the homepage, even the typeface on the heading tags match the logo with the help of sIFR, altogether this has helped build the ‘Indigo brand’.
The content of each page is broken into two columns, the right hand side features a number of different call to actions that when clicked directs the user to a pre-filled contact form, this is a great way to boast conversions for smaller websites. There is also a contact form on each page ensuring that wherever the potential client is on the website they can quickly contact the company.
Overall I think this website has a clean appeal and the smaller details (like the man in the bottom right of each page) have really set this website apart from the majority of other Tree Survey and Habitat Survey websites.

A dark website created for a retail recruitment agency primarily targeting London, UK.
Each page features a center piece image, each one is fresh and lively, which helps bring the site to life and separates itself from the majority of recruitment websites that are fairly drab and use cliche business imagery.
One of the best features of the website is the jobs board, it’s a predominant feature on each page allowing users to quickly and easily search the job database wherever they are on the website. The job listings are well balanced, with quick links along the bottom allowing searchers to apply for the position, contact Straightline or print the vacancy along with a useful ‘back to top’ button, which is a great shortcut when searching through a large list of jobs. It’s small elements like these that many websites lack and sacrifice their usability.
Overall the Straightline Retail Recruitment London website works very well, it is a great mix of design and usability. The vibrant blue and sharp images add contrast to the dark background and really adds life to the website. All the correct elements like the navigation are simple to use, the drop down simplifies it by breaking it down into five main sections.
